This site just moved from Astro 3.5.5 to [Astro 7.2.0](https://astro.build/blog/astro-7/).

- **From:** Astro 3, its older integrations, and the legacy content collection API.
- **Now:** Vite 8 with Rolldown, Astro’s Rust compiler, the current Content Layer, stricter templates, and managed background dev tooling.
- **Expected:** Faster build feedback, fewer package compatibility dead ends, and a cleaner base for future interactive posts.
- **For readers:** No redesign or extra client dependency. The site remains mostly static HTML, and all 405 existing public paths still build.
